Conclusion of great expectation by charles dickens
The significant changes that Pip's character goes through are very important to one of the novel's many themes. Dickens uses Pip's deterioration from an innocent boy into an arrogant gentleman and his redemption as a good-natured person to illustrate the idea that unrealistic hopes and expectations can lead to undesirable traits.
As Pip meets Miss Havisham for the first time, he describes her as "the strangest lady I have ever seen, or shall ever see." Pip is terrified by her peculiarity and appearance and describes her as like "wax work and a skeleton" and "corpse like" A caracter surrounded by images of decay and death, which suggest the kind of influence she has on Pip and Estella.

In Great Expectations, money has tricky value. Coin is not bad in itself, since it helps Herbert and prevents Pip from getting placed into debtors' prison. From the beginning, Pip received endowments from which he thought were gifts to him from Ms. Havisham, but in the end he found it was from the convict he encountered while playing in his parent's graveyard as a child. He had provided the felon with extra food and in turn, he was given money and a good life. Coin eventually became dangerous to Pip. He evolved into prey for greedy individuals, and those that would "marry for wealth" (Great 392). He also began to lose his moral bearings. If he did not love money in itself, he adored the power that it Carter 5 brought him in life.
Great Fire of London - The Great Fire of London was a major conflagration that swept through the central parts of London from Sunday, 2 September to Wednesday, 5 September 1666. The fire gutted the medieval City of London inside the old Roman City Wall.
The Roman Empire was a great one stretching from Europe to Asia and Africa, having as its centre the Mediterranean Sea , called by the Romans “Mare Nostrum” (“Our sea”). In this empire there were many peoples, each one with different traditions and mentality. But, in this multitude of peoples there were two predominant cultures: the Greek one and the Latin one, and even these two were different.
Este vorba despre viata si greutatile ce le-a avut Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin, KBE (16 April 1889 - 25 December 1977) was an English comic actor, film director and composer best known for his work during the silent film era. He became the most famous film star in the world before the end of World War I. His most famous role was that of The Tramp, which he first played in the Keystone comedy Kid Auto Races at Venice in 1914. From the April 1914 one-reeler Twenty Minutes of Love onwards he was writing and directing most of his films, by 1916 he was also producing them, and from 1918 he was even composing the music for them. With Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and D. W. Griffith, he co-founded United Artists in 1919.Sir Charles Chaplin.
Great Expectations from Dickens takes great care to distinguish the two Pips, imbuing the voice of Pip the narrator with perspective and maturity while also imparting how Pip the character feels about what is happening to him as it actually happens. This skillfully executed distinction is perhaps best observed early in the book, when Pip the character is a child; here, Pip the narrator gently pokes fun at his younger self, but also enables us to see and feel the story through his eyes.Great Expectations
The Great Gatsby
The narrator, Nick Carraway, is Gatsby's neighbor in West Egg. Nick is a young man from a prominent Midwestern family. Educated at Yale, he has come to New York to enter the bond business. In some sense, the novel is Nick's memoir, his unique view of the events of the summer of 1922; as such, his impressions and observations necessarily color the narrative as a whole. For the most part, he plays only a peripheral role in the events of the novel; he prefers to remain a passive observer.
Charlie, aceea bucatica mica si-o impartea in asa fel incat sa-I ajunga o luna. Acesta nu era doar "specialist" in ciocolate, dar avea o putere in asa fel incat daca punea inghetata pe "canicula" cea mai mare nu se topea.
Toti cei patru ...
