This will be a paper about an Age that changed the course of a nation, England. I intend to present the most interesting and important aspects of that Age. The term of "Victorian Age", comes from the name of Queen Victoria, who reigned for 63 years, the longest reign in the history of England. Those years were marked by the rise of the middle class and a deeply conservative morality. As embodied by the monarchy, this Age was represented by such 19th century ideals as devotion to family life, public and private responsibility, and obedience to the law. Under Victoria, the British Empire expanded, and Britain became an increasingly powerful nation.

As the country grew into an industrialized nation, the length and stability of Victoria's reign gave an impression of continuity to what was actually a period of dynamic change. I will present the life of the people, the changes and some interesting facts about the Victorian Age in England. The paper is organized into seven chapters. The first chapter presents a summary to everything I will discuss. The second chapter begins with a short presentation of Queen Victoria's life, after I will present an survey of the most important aspects from that Age, like: Prostitution, Victorian Medicine and even an overview on the newspapers of that time.
