Introduction
The main purpose followed during the research is to find out and to make a scientific study concerning construction there is/there are in English, involving all aspects of structure, composition, lexical meaning and importance of grammar in English compared with the Romanian language.
The given aim predetermines the concrete tasks of the research pursues the following objectives:
1. To describe the type of constructions in the context of work;
2. To classify the construction;
3. To evaluate the English original;
4. To translate the examples and to state the dificulties faced by the translators while translating them from English into Romanian;
5. To describe types of constructions in the context of work given;
6. To analyse differences coincidences of contextual meaning of the constructions based on the short story;
7. To make statistics about the type of construction in short story "Magician" by W.S.Maugham
In order to fulfill the main goals of this course paper, the following methods have to be applied:
1. The method of observation;
